A Killer Ad

It's Hitchcock week on the Turner Classic Movies channel. I thought this advertisement (from last week's New Yorker) was just, well...

...classic.

Maybe the best movie ad ever! Can't wait to see what they do for "North By Northwest".

Mike, I saw the NxNW ad a few weeks ago in the NY Times Sunday Magazine. It's the classic shot of Cary Grant running toward the corn field with an eerie shadow of a helicopter. It's good, but the Psycho ad is much better. And to you, Jack, thanks for creeping me out so often. I was just getting over the clown piece (I HATE clowns) and now you've reminded me of one of the creepiest films ever (with "Play Misty for Me" running a very close second). Happy Halloween to you, too!! Bev

I'm still crushed that Darla is dead.

Mike, If it's any consolation she's got Waldo and Alfalfa with her wherever she is..... And, more importantly, she doesn't have to be here gnashing her teeth over the fact that Sam Alito is probably going to replace Sandra Day O'Connor.... Bev
